New Additions to The Hemker-Price Library

We have recently added three books to the library at The Festival Center that may be of particular interest to readers.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) sent us a Quran as an educational resource gift, noting they "hope that this will be a critical step in shedding light on the many misrepresentations of Islam that are prevalent today." The Quran may be found in our reference book section.

Friend Allen Holt gifted the Servant Leadership School with a book written by Louis Miles, entitled "The Gift To Be Free – A Fictional Shaker Memoir". Author Miles writes in his inscription: "For the Servant Leadership School Library with the hope that readers will glimpse here the difficulty and the glory of living in community." This book comes highly recommended, and may be found in our New Books section.

Jeffrey Haas has gifted the Servant Leadership School his book entitled "The Assassination of Fred Hampton." This powerful read shows how the FBI and the Chicago Police department murdered an innocent Black Panther Party Leader.
